Jozi Kota Festival is the family food event tailored around a KOTA, we bring about different Kota Flavours in the Central city of Johannesburg, the aim is to showcase what Kasi has to offer when it comes to food, but in the city rather than having people to drive out and go look for Kota's around. We cater for everyone.

The Station has been transformed into a Unique Regional Market, and Sentimental Events venue located in the heart of Johannesburg. The Station is not only a Heritage structure with a rich history, over 120 years of existence, but is also situated parallel to the Iconic Bridge named after the Late Nelson Mandela.

How do I apply for a Kota stall and what is the process?
To apply for a Kota Stall visit our website and click on Stall Application Tab, We work on first come first serve basis. We will be taking about 30 different KOTA stalls at a reasonable amount. We take any stall that will speak to the event.

Will Kids entetainment be available? and what to bring on the day?
Kids entertainment will be provided e.g. own stage, sound & lights, Jumping Castle, Bumpy rides, playstations, etc. It's a picnic vibe, you can bring a camp chair, towel, cooler box, picnic basket, etc.

Will parking be made available?
Yes, at a reasonable fee of R50 you will get a secured parking @ Newtown Junction Mall, also we will provide a transportation to the venue (Park & Ride).

What time is the event starting and ending?
Doors will be opened at 10am and we will be ending the event at 10pm.

Which artists that are part of the line-up?
Artists will be kept a secrete until the day of the event, the aim is to make sure we give you the best Kota experience more than anything, anything else is a bonus :-).

APPLICATION FORM
STALLS
● Each stall 3m wide by 2m deep. Space is limited.
● Stall areas will be marked with reference number, which will be supplied upon receiving payment.
● All stalls to stay within the designated stall area.
● Only fresh KOTAS will be considered for stalls.
● If you are using electricity provided for by us, Power will be supplied to you, please bring your own long extension.
● You are required to be there for full day of trading.
● All stalls must be ready for trading by 10 am Saturday 30th September 2023.
● Kota stall to trade till 6 pm (but may trade later) and Drinks stalls not to be taken down before 8pm.
● Set up from 6am – 9am Saturday 30th of September 2023.
● All stall holders must keep their trading area clean and leave it as found.
● All food market vendors must have a 4.5KG fire extinguisher, fire blanket, basin of water for hand washing, and a rubbish bin.
● We discourage trailers at the event, if you are bringing a trailer you need to make sure your tailer complies with all the requirements, in addition to the above requirements, trailers need to have a COC. Trailers will be placed outside the shelter
● According to the POPIA act, you agree to allow Jozi Kota Festival to share your contact details with any Jozi Kota Festival affiliated sponsors or third parties.
● We will not allow Gazebos for anyone who will be placed inside the shelter.
● Any stall that comes after 9am on the day of the event won’t be allowed to setup, NO refund will be issued as a result.
● When making stall payment, please ensure to use your stall reference number that is located at the bottom left of the invoice that will be issued to you after completing this form.
CREDIT CARD FACILITIES
● Vendors to supply their own credit card facilities.PAYMENTS
● Upon payment Vendors will be provided with a receipt of Payment. Please bring this receipt with you as you may be asked to display it. If there is no evidence that you have paid, you will either be asked to remove your stall or to pay on the spot.● Bookings made after 30th of June 2023 will be subject to a R300 premium.
● A stall will only be finalized when payment is received.
● Please book and pay on time to avoid the above penaltie.
CANCELLATION & REFUND
● More than 30 days or more prior to the event – will receive a refund of 50% Stall fee paid● 30 days or less prior to the event – forfeit 100% Stall fee paid
● The terms above apply to any cancellation.
● All Cancellation should be in writing and be directed to cancellation@jozikotafestival.co.za
